March

• 17th  Penasco Palooza Spring Concert - 5 PM to 11:30 PM  next to Chango's Bar  tickets available at Chango's Bar or on line at www.homeofthebraveconcerts.com

• 24th  5th Annual Cholla Bay Sportsman's Club Horseshoe Tournament.  Sign up 9 AM-11 AM  tournament begins at 11 AM at the CBSC clubhouse in Cholla Bay.  Pre-register at www.chollabayhoa.net  Players $15, spectators $10, kids 5 years and under $5.  Price includes beer, soda, 2 hot dogs, chips, popcorn.  All proceeds benefit the Red Cross

Friday 17th  5 PM Carnaval kicks off with the "bad humor" parade and crowning  of King and Queen of carnaval on the Explanada Penasco del Sol.

Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday at 3 PM - Parade of floats, performers, and bands down Blvd. Benito Juarez ending at the Explanada Penasco del Sol.  The parades are a lot of fun for the entire family!  

Sunday at 12 PM parade of horses.  This is a great parade of horses along with floats showcasing the important role horses have had in the history of Mexico.  

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday....nightly music from 8 PM until who knows....featuring solo artists and musical groups from Mexico.  Also, lots of fun and safe rides, taco stands, beers carts, ice cream, and arts and crafts!  

This truly is a fun event and we make sure we go every year!  I love the rides but just can't seem to get Brian to go on any of them with me except for the Ferris Wheel!!!  Maybe this will be the year!
